Bruchköbel

On the weekend of 16 + 17 March 2024, Das Dreckige Dutzend was a guest in Bruchköbel and designed the bridge ramp at Bruchköbel railway station, which is just over 100 metres long.
Together with the Bruchköbel youth centre, which supported the DD12 as an extremely committed partner, a summer festival for families was offered over two days, during which graffiti workshops were offered, various stands provided visitors with food and drink, DJs and MCs performed and the writers designed the long wall in the middle of it all. As the weather also played along, we had an all-round successful weekend, which received consistently positive feedback from participants, organisers and visitors alike.

Schweinfurt in Colors

16th+17th of September, 2023

DDC Factory, Schweinfurt

Area: Several walls in different sizes with about 1000m² total area of the DDC Factory.

For the first time this year, the Jam did not take place in Frankfurt and was on a scale that could not be foreseen during the initial planning for 2023. After the planned implementation in Würzburg had to be canceled in between, the DDC Factory responded to a call in the social media and was thus the host for the Jam, or better: The Festival, in September 2023.
With a giant building, we thus had numerous areas for the participants, but also for visitors. In addition, the huge outdoor area allowed the implementation of the summer festival of the DDC, which specially moved this from July to September and thus combined with the Jam. Thus, numerous visitors gathered outside in the best weather to lie in deck chairs, listen to the MCs and DJs, watch the writers or get food at the food stalls or watch the breakers in the hall.

One of the highlights was the wall printer of the company "WallPen", who represented "MONE", who unfortunately couldn't come this weekend, and printed one of his pictures, quasi as a substitute, on one of the walls.

This year the Jam offered again two days with a family atmosphere, good vibes, great artists and dancers and a scope that could not have been imagined in 2017, when the first DD12 action was implemented.

06th and 07th of May, 2023

Location: City hall, Babenhausen

Area: Several walls in different sizes of the town hall and the office of the children and youth promotion.

Already for the second time we were in Babenhausen with the Aerosol Queens. This year we were at the city hall and designed with 17 participants the side and back of the hall as well as some walls of the children and youth promotion office in best weather and again great atmosphere.

For this jam we needed to start a fund raising campaing because the financing of the jam was no longer given. As a result many people donated money which enabled us to finance the event and have another great jam. Therefore we say "Thank you" to all donators who supported us!

Character Jam

18.+19.9.2021

Youth Center Am Buegel, Frankfurt am Main

This year we were guests at the Jugendhaus am Bügel in Frankfurt. Every year the Character Jam takes place there, which would have had its 10th anniversary last year. A good reason to celebrate, even if it was a year later because of Corona. And so in 2021 both events took place in one jam in the youth center, and the DD12 made the name of the Character Jam also the motto for this year: Focus on Characters.

In contrast to the writer-heavy DD12 events in recent years, this year all pillars of hip hop should be covered and a jam in the style of the 90s should be offered.

My city

12.+13.9.2020

Schmickstrasse, Frankfurt am Main

The Dirty Dozen set the motto: "Cities and Regions". Basically similar to the motto in 2017.
Background was the connection to Europe, because we painted left of the wall of last year 100 more meters of wall of the company Mandausch/Reißwolf .

As part of the concept, the participants incorporated elements of their cities, regions or homeland into the pictures.
For the first time, there was a warmup with "No", "Kick", "Kyle", "Payner" and "Coke" beforehand, where the bridge from 2017 was repainted.

Europe

28.+29.9.2019

Schmickstraße, Frankfurt am Main

The Dirty Dozen put the motto: "Europe", into action.
The chosen spot of about 200m² was a facade of the company Mandausch/Reißwolf , which has been active in Frankfurt for 60 years and is one of the driving forces in commercial and private waste management and document destruction.

As part of the "Europe" concept, the participants creatively implemented their own interpretation and brought Europe in artistic form to the east of Frankfurt.

Comicstrip

21.7.2018

After the "Urban Jungle" wall was destroyed, we redesigned it with the help of the booth.
The motto this time: comic strip.

Thanks to the active support of the city, Gerüstbau Paul and Malerbetriebe Mensinger, a comic strip was created that day, which covered the entire area.

Niddapark, Frankfurt am Main

In spring 2018, "Das Dreckige Dutzend" appeared for the second time to design a large wall in Frankfurt. For this year, the area of the bridge at the Ginnheimer Wäldchen was chosen. This wall was again painted in full height and width, and again interested people and critics were invited to be there and talk to us about the action. Radio (Radio X, Antenne Frankfurt) and press (Frankfurter Neue Presse) reported in advance and afterwards about the action and made it public.

The concept this year was "urban jungle", and the idea was to let pictures and plants grow out of the gray of the city (hence part of the painting in gray) and merge into green.
This time all 12 artists were complete and spent a great weekend together.

After the destruction of the "urban jungle" the wall was designed again with a different cast. The theme in this case: "Comic Strip". The concept this time was to divide the wall into the usual, known from comic books, boxes, which each participant filled with a motif of his choice.

From city to city - Welcome to Frankfurt

Breitenbach Bridge, Frankfurt am Main

Spring 2017 marked the start of a recurring campaign to transform a public space into a work of art. This year, the choice fell on the large area of one of the two sides of the Frankfurt Breitenbrücke bridge on the railroad line, which was just right to transform its concrete front. For this purpose, the surface was painted in its full height and width. With this action we hoped to show that graffiti is not just daubing, but art. Skeptics and interested people were invited to come by, watch and ask us questions. The response was consistently positive and many passers-by stopped and were pleased with the newly designed area. The "Frankfurter Neue Presse" was on site and reported on the action in an almost full-page article. And also the "Hessischer Rundfunk" was interested and asked to send photos and videos. Unfortunately, only 10 of the 12 invited artists took part, as two cancelled at short notice. So "Das Dreckige Dutzend" could not live up to its name, but could nevertheless convince with creativity and with the result.
